Entry Requirements:

Field of Study: Full-time Bachelor degree students, major in accounting, information systems or finance.
Year of Study: Students who will take up the third or final year study in the coming academic year.

Applicants should:-

  1. have a sincere working attitude;
  2. have proficiency in oral/written communication skills in Chinese and English;
  3. be proficient in MS Office, MS Excel, VBA, MS Access and MS Word;
  4. have good analytical and organizing skills; and
  5. have a high level of integrity and commitment.

General Notes:

  1. Non-civil service vacancies are not posts on the civil service establishment. Candidates appointed are not on civil service terms of appointment and conditions of service. Candidates appointed are not civil servants and will not be eligible for posting, promotion or transfer to any post in the civil service.
  2. Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.
  3. The monthly allowance, terms of appointment and conditions of service to be offered are subject to the provisions prevailing at the time the offer of appointment is made.

  7. Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.

How to apply:

  1. Hong Kong students studying in local post-secondary institutions should apply through the Student Affairs Offices/Career Centres of their respective institutions and are advised to note the deadline set by the respective institutions. Direct application from student will not be accepted.
  2. Hong Kong students studying in non-local post-secondary institutions should download the standard application form from the website of the Civil Service Bureau (http://www.csb.gov.hk/english/admin/appoint/782.html).
    Completed application form together with a covering letter, resume and copies of certificates of academic qualifications and transcripts should be sent by post and reach the Personnel and Appointments Section, 7/F, Hongkong Post Building, 8 Wang Kee Street, Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong before 6:00 p.m. on 20 May 2024 (Hong Kong time) (Please specify “Application for the post of Summer Intern (Financial Services)” on the envelope and pay sufficient postage).
  3. Applications which are incomplete, without the required supporting documents, late, submitted by fax or email, not made in the prescribed form, or with insufficient postage, will not be considered. 
  4. Candidates who are invited for selection interview will normally receive an invitation in about one to two weeks from the closing date for application.  Those who are not invited for selection interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
  5. An applicant of the internship programme should apply for one post only.  The job title concerned should be clearly marked in the application form.  If applicants apply for more than one post, all their applications will not be considered.
