Assistant Manager (Administrative Services)
(Around $379,000 per annum + gratuity)
Major responsibilities:
- To assist in handling matters relating to human resources management and personnel issues (e.g. employee compensation, retirement and posting);
- To handle general administrative, clerical and financial matters, as well as records management;
- To assist in preparing submissions on budget and manpower requirements;
- To assist in handling recruitment and appointment-related matters;
- To handle public enquiries and complaints;
- To supervise clerical and other junior staff in the office; and
- To undertake any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
- A recognised Bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification work experience in human resources management or office administration, preferably in managerial/executive positions;
- Level 3 (Grade C before 2007) or above in both Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B before 2007) in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
- Good verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Chinese and English word processing skills;
- Good organisational, analytical, interpersonal and project planning/project management skills;
- Detail-minded, able to work independently and demonstrate the qualities of a committed and self-motivated team player;
- Responsible and enthusiastic with a fine character and integrity; and
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in administration or who have worked in the Government/public organisations.
Terms of appointment:
- 2-year contract;
- Monthly salary $27,110;
- Discretionary performance pay up to about 1 month’s salary in every six months;
- 14 days’ annual leave; and
- Gratuity payable plus Hongkong Post’s MPF contributions equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.

- • The new version of application form for Government jobs G.F. 340 (Rev.7/2023) has been in use with effect from 26 July 2023. Candidates should use the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023). If candidates submit the old version form G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013), they will be required to fill in the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) afresh and submit it within seven days upon request. If candidates fail to submit the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) within the stipulated deadline, their applications will not be processed further.
