Hongkong Post has launched a new single account, “Hongkong Post ID”, for customers to enjoy easy access to all online services of Hongkong Post (i.e. EC-Ship, My SpeedPost, Hongkong Post Circular Service and ShopThruPost) via an integrated platform, bringing them the convenience of using one single “Hongkong Post ID” account for all of our online services.

If you do not have an account of any online services, please register for a “Hongkong Post ID”

Step 1: Click the “Register” link on the Hongkong Post website

Step 2: Fill in the registration form

Step 3: Check for Hongkong Post’s email on account activation in the mailbox of the email address registered

Step 4: Follow the instructions in the email to activate the account and log in for access to online services

Existing Customers

To upgrade existing online service accounts to the new “Hongkong Post ID”

Step 1: Enter your login name on the login page of the online service

Step 2: The system will remind you to register for a new “Hongkong Post ID” and upgrade your existing online service account to the new “Hongkong Post ID”

Step 3: Select “Upgrade Now” or “Decide Later”

Step 4: Enter the password of your existing online service account for authentication

Step 5: Information in the profile of existing online service account will be transferred to that of “Hongkong Post ID”

Step 6: Upon completion of upgrading, you can log in with your “Hongkong Post ID” for various online services. If you have accounts of any other online services at the same time, you can log in to these accounts and enter your login names and passwords for authentication and this will enable you to link them to your “Hongkong Post ID”, so that you can enjoy the convenience of using one single “Hongkong Post ID” account to for all online services of Hongkong Post.

  1. What is “Hongkong Post ID”?

    Ans: “Hongkong Post ID” is a new single account for customers to enjoy easy access to all online services of Hongkong Post (i.e. EC-Ship, My Speedpost, Hongkong Post Circular Service and ShopThruPost) via an integrated platform, bringing them the convenience of using one single “Hongkong Post ID” account for all of our online services.

  2. Who are required to register for a new “Hongkong Post ID”?

    Ans: Customers who would use the Hongkong Post’s online services (including EC-Ship*, My Speedpost*, Hongkong Post Circular Service and ShopThruPost) are required to register for the new “Hongkong Post ID” accounts, which enable them to access all of our online services through a single account.

    *Remark: Holders of EC-Ship sub-accounts and My Speedpost user accounts are not required to register for a new “Hongkong Post ID”.

  3. Why do I need to upgrade to the “Hongkong Post ID” as I would only use one particular online service of Hongkong Post?

    Ans: The use of “Hongkong Post ID” allows you to access all our online services through a single account. With just a few simple steps, you can upgrade your existing online service accounts to the “Hongkong Post ID” and log in with the original login names and passwords. Please refer to “How to upgrade existing online service accounts to the new “Hongkong Post ID” (PDF)” for further details.

  4. Can I choose not to upgrade my existing online service accounts (including EC-Ship, My Speedpost, Hongkong Post Circular Service and ShopThruPost) to the “Hongkong Post ID”?

    Ans: You can choose to keep using the existing online service accounts rather than the new “Hongkong Post ID” to access the respective services during the interim period. Upon the expiry of the interim period (i.e. 1 March 2020), all customers must use the “Hongkong Post ID” to log in for our online services. Original accounts which have not yet been upgraded will be retained. You will be reminded of upgrading to the “Hongkong Post ID” in your next login for access to our online services.

  5. Is there any charge for the registration of a new “Hongkong Post ID”?

    Ans: Registration of a “Hongkong Post ID” is free of charge.

  6. How to register for a “Hongkong Post ID”?

    Ans: Please refer to “How to register for a “Hongkong Post ID” (PDF) for further details.

  7. Why haven’t I received the email on “Hongkong Post ID account activation” yet?

    Ans: Your email client may have classified the account activation email for “Hongkong Post ID” as junk mail. Please check the junk mail box and configure the setting of your email client to accept all email from “Hongkong Post ID”.

  8. Do I need to complete the activation of my “Hongkong Post ID” within a specified period? Will my selected login name be retained upon the expiry of the specified period?

    Ans: Upon receipt of the email on “Hongkong Post ID activation”, you have to activate your account within 7 days. Otherwise, you have to register for the “Hongkong Post ID” again and your selected login name will not be retained.

  9. My account has been locked after several unsuccessful login attempts. What should I do?

    Ans: For security reasons, “Hongkong Post ID” account will be locked after five cumulative unsuccessful login attempts. You can unlock the account by resetting the password. Please refer to Question 10 below for the instruction.

  10. I forgot the password of my “Hongkong Post ID” account. What should I do?

    Ans: You can follow the steps below to reset your password:

    1. Select “Forgot Password?” on the login page;
    2. Enter your login name and registered email address, and click “Submit”. You will receive an email embedding the password reset link;
    3. Click the link in the email to reset your password.

    Please note that the password reset link will be valid for 24 hours only, so we suggest that you reset your password immediately upon receipt of the email.

  11. I forgot the login name of my “Hongkong Post ID” account. What should I do?

    Ans: You can retrieve your login name in the email on “Hongkong Post ID account activation”.

  13. How can I remove the linkage between my accounts of Hongkong Post’s online services (including EC-Ship, My Speedpost, Hongkong Post Circular Service and ShopThruPost) and my “Hongkong Post ID”?

    Ans: Once your accounts of Hongkong Post’s online services (including EC-Ship, My Speedpost, Hongkong Post Circular Service and ShopThruPost) are linked with your “Hongkong Post ID”, such linkage cannot be removed.

  14. How many Hongkong Post’s online service accounts can be linked to a “Hongkong Post ID”?

    Ans: Each “Hongkong Post ID” can be linked with one EC-Ship account*, one My Speedpost account*, one Hongkong Post Circular Service account and one ShopThruPost account.

    *Remark: confined to the principal account of EC-Ship and the management account of My Speedpost.

  15. If I upgrade my existing Hongkong Post’s online service accounts (including EC-Ship, My Speedpost, Hongkong Post Circular Service and ShopThruPost) to “Hongkong Post ID”, will the records associated with my original accounts be lost?

    Ans: No, it won’t. Records associated with your original accounts will be retained.

  16. Can I register for “Hongkong Post ID” with the login name and password of my existing Hongkong Post’s online service accounts?

    Ans: Yes, you can. When you register for the “Hongkong Post ID”, select the option “Yes, I have an online service account” and enter the existing login name and password of that account for authentication. Upon successful authentication, you can use its login name and password to register for your “Hongkong Post ID”.

  17. Why does the system alert me that I will be logged out after 30 minutes?

    Ans: For security reasons, the time limit for a login session is 8 hours. An alert will pop up 30 minutes before reaching the time limit. Once it reaches the time limit, the system will log you out automatically. If you wish to continue, you have to log in again.

  18. Will the launch of “Hongkong Post ID” have any impact on existing API accounts under EC-Ship and My Speedpost?

    Ans: No, it won’t. The launch of “Hongkong Post ID” will have no impact on existing API accounts under EC-Ship and My Speedpost and holders of which can continue to use the login name and password of their original accounts.

  19. Why the system does not remind me of upgrading to “Hongkong Post ID” when I log in on the EC-Ship website?

    Ans: The system will not remind you of upgrading the existing account to the “Hongkong Post ID” under the following circumstances:

    • You’ve logged in with your “Hongkong Post ID”
    • You’ve logged in with a sub-account of EC-Ship
  20. Why the system does not remind me of upgrading to “Hongkong Post ID” when I log in on My Speedpost website?

    Ans: The system will not remind you of upgrading the existing account to “Hongkong Post ID” under the following circumstances:

    • You’ve logged in with your “Hongkong Post ID”
    • You’ve logged in with a user account under My Speedpost
