21. Can I use non-Hong Kong mobile phone number to receive the verification code?

Ans: No. Currently, only Hong Kong mobile phone number with area code +852 is supported. If you do not have a Hong Kong mobile phone number, you should use email to receive verification code.

Troubleshooting

25. What should I do if I don't receive the verification code in my email inbox?

Ans: Please check your "Junk" or "Spam" folders. If you still can’t receive, click “Resend code” to send another verification code.

If you have added a backup email address or backup mobile phone number, you can select these verification methods to receive the verification code.

If you haven't set up a backup email address or backup mobile phone number, please contact the Hongkong Post Hotline for identity verification and account recovery. We strongly recommend setting up backup email address and backup mobile phone number in “Login Verification Methods” page while you still have access.

26. Why is my verification code being rejected as "Invalid"?

Ans: Verification code is time-sensitive. Ensure you are entering the most recent code received. If you requested multiple codes, only the latest one will work. Also, double-check that you are only entering the 6 digits, not the 3-letter prefix.

27. Can I change my registered email address during the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) setup?

Ans: No. For security reasons, MFA must be linked to your registered email address. If you need to update your registered email address, please update via your account profile settings before completing the MFA setup.

28. Can the backup email address and backup mobile phone number be updated or removed after setup?

Ans: Yes. To update backup email address or backup mobile phone number, please first remove the existing entry and then add the new backup email address or backup mobile phone number.
