Throughout the pandemic, Hongkong Post has been putting our best efforts to minimise disruption to our services. However, owing to insufficient air and sea freight capacity, we regret that extra time may be required for conveyance of mail items (including Speedpost) to destinations despite completion of local processing. In addition, delivery operations of our overseas counterparts may also be affected due to the pandemic. Details are tabled below.
|Airmail - Destinations||Approximate time required for delivery (for reference only)|
|@Speedpost service||Other airmail services|
|Asia||The Mainland||Around 2 to 3 weeks^||Around 4 weeks^|
|Surface mail - Destinations||Approximate time required for delivery
(for reference only)
Mail despatches would be handed over to the carrier within 10 to 15 working days after the latest date of posting. Extra time is required during the pandemic.
|Asia||^ The Mainland (except Shenzhen)
The Mainland – Shenzhen
(Surface packet and parcel services to Guangdong Province are under suspension)
|55 to 60 working days
15 working days
|North America||United States of America||61 to 69 working days|
^ In view of the respective pandemic control measures required by the local authority, mail items upon arrival at the Mainland will be subject to disinfection and a waiting period, which would lead to lengthened processing time.
@ Compensation for delivery delays of Speedpost will not be applicable.
