Hongkong Post and the Education Bureau have been co-organising the Inter-School Stamp Exhibits Competition since 2000 to promote philately among students.

The result of the 14th Inter-School Stamp Exhibits Competition this year was announced on 15 June 2015. An exhibition displaying the winning entries and other entries will be held at the Sha Tin Town Hall from 28 to 30 August 2015.

The exhibition is open to the public and admission is free. The opening hours of the exhibition are:

28 Aug 2015 (Friday) 1.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m.
29 Aug 2015 (Saturday) 11.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m.
30 Aug 2015 (Sunday) 11.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.

To mark the event, Hongkong Post will issue a souvenir cover, together with a special postmark and a cachet. Souvenir covers, priced at $2 each, will be put on sale at all philatelic offices from 14 to 30 August. Serviced souvenir covers at $6.2 each will be available for sale at all philatelic offices on 28 August.

Date-stamping Arrangements

A hand-back date-stamping service using the office steel date-stamp and the special postmark will be provided on 28 August 2015 at the exhibition venue and all philatelic offices for official/privately-made covers bearing an indication of the event and a local address. All philatelic offices will also provide a hand-back date-stamping service using the “Philatelic Bureau” pictorial postmark and the philatelic office pictorial postmark concurrently, but the GPO-1 date-stamp will only be available at the General Post Office. A cachet will be available for application on covers from 28 to 30 August at the exhibition venue throughout the exhibition period and at all philatelic offices during normal office hours.
