Hongkong Post announced today (March 18) that a set of special stamps with the theme "Centenary of Pok Oi Hospital" and associated philatelic products will be released for sale on April 2 (Tuesday).
Pok Oi Hospital has been serving Hong Kong over the past century under the motto "We Love, We Care, We Serve". To meet the ever-changing needs of Hong Kong society, Pok Oi has strived to develop into a charitable organisation that provides top-quality and diversified services. This year marks the centenary of the founding of Pok Oi. To honour this special occasion, Hongkong Post is issuing a set of four commemorative stamps featuring the four major services that Pok Oi provides:
$2 - Chinese & Western Medicine Services
$3.70 - Education Services
$4.90 - Elderly Services
$5 - Youth & Family Services
From tomorrow (March 19), Official First Day Covers will be put on sale at $1.30 each at all post offices and the stamps and associated philatelic products will be displayed at the General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Tsuen Wan Post Office, Sha Tin Central Post Office and Tuen Mun Central Post Office. Advance orders for servicing self-provided covers will be accepted at all philatelic offices from tomorrow to March 25.
