When should I make an enquiry on a mail item sent to other destinations?

Before making an enquiry, you should consider whether sufficient time is allowed for the delivery of the mail item to the destination concerned. In general, enquiries on Speedpost items should be made from 2 days to 3 months after the date of posting; as for registered mail or parcels, enquiries should be made from 2 weeks to 5 months after the date of posting. Please note that late enquiries will not be entertained by postal administrations of other destinations . Therefore, we are unable to process any late enquiry.

e-Express Service items mailing to other destinations are traceable through the websites of the destination postal administrations or our website. Instead of contacting our Mail Tracing Office, senders can trace their items on the aforesaid websites within 6 months from the date of posting. Please refer to the Terms and Condition of e-Express service for details.
