Can I send money or articles of value?

For local mail, only registered mail letters in a closed envelope may contain money or articles of value. The registered mail may contain money, platinum, gold or silver (manufactured or not), precious stones, jewels or other valuable articles, while compensation will not be entertained.

For non-local mail, sending money or articles of value must be compliant with the prohibitions / restrictions of destinations. If money, platinum, gold or silver (manufactured or not), precious stones, jewels or other valuable articles are not included in the prohibitions or restrictions of respective destination, it can be sent to the destination (except via insured letter or registered service which only accept posting of document) but compensation will not be entertained.

Senders should refer to the posting conditions of respective services, as well as Post Office Guide Section 5.6, Section 6.3 and the Appendix for information related to money and articles of value.
